Privacy Policy

Your privacy and data security are our highest priority. Learn how SulahMitra collects, processes, and protects your information across our web platform and mobile app.

1. Introduction & Overview

SulahMitra ("we", "our", "us") operates the website https://sulahmitra.in and the SulahMitra Mobile Application (available on Google Play Store). We provide an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform that facilitates amicable mediation, conciliation, and arbitration under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 and relevant Indian laws.

2. Information We Collect

To facilitate secure dispute resolution and user account authentication, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Personal Details: Full name, phone number, email address, and residential or business address.
  • Authentication Data: Login credentials, OTP verification logs, and account preferences managed through our secure sign-in service.
  • Case Information & Documents: Details of disputes, case descriptions, agreements, claim amounts, uploaded evidence (PDFs, images, contracts), and session notes.
  • Device & Usage Data: Device model, operating system version, IP address, and app usage telemetry required for security and bug diagnostics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process personal data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Authenticating user access to the mobile app and administrative dashboards.
  • Processing case registration, assigning neutral mediators/arbitrators, and notifying participating parties.
  • Sending automated SMS/Email updates regarding scheduled virtual hearings and case progress.
  • Generating legally binding conciliation agreements under Section 74 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
  • Ensuring platform integrity, preventing fraud, and satisfying statutory legal compliance.

4. Data Storage, Security & Encryption

All sensitive user data, authentication credentials, and case files are stored using industry-standard enterprise cloud infrastructure provided by third-party cloud hosting and storage services. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS (256-bit SSL) encryption protocols. Access to case documentation is strictly limited to authorized dispute participants and assigned neutral mediators.

5. Third-Party Sharing & Advertising

No Ads Policy: The SulahMitra mobile app and web platform contain zero third-party advertisements.
We never sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. Data is shared exclusively with:

  • Assigned neutral mediators/arbitrators and opposing parties participating in your registered case.
  • Third-party providers that support sign-in, cloud hosting and document storage, for the purposes described in this policy.
  • Third-party infrastructure services process requests for the automated assistant and video rooms. An external automated-language service processes messages you choose to send to the assistant, including translation requests. Your case records and profile are not automatically attached to assistant requests. Please avoid entering confidential information into the assistant chat.
  • A third-party video service processes audio, video and meeting participation when you join a protected session. If you join through an external meeting service, that service's privacy terms also apply.
  • Legal authorities when required under explicit judicial orders or Indian statutory compliance.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion Rights

You can request access, corrections, account deletion or review of associated personal data. In-app account deletion anonymizes the user profile and removes the sign-in. Existing mediation case records are retained for the other participants; deleting an account does not automatically erase those records. To submit a deletion or data-removal request, visit our Data Safety & Account Deletion Page or email contact@sulahmitra.in. The team will verify account ownership, review the request and explain the scope and any applicable retention before taking action.

7. Compliance with Indian DPDP Act 2023

SulahMitra adheres to the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) of India. We process data lawfully, transparently, and only with explicitly granted user consent.
